SOPHOMORE SYMPOSIUM
What are the most pressing issues in our world today, and what can we do about it? These are questions that ASB's tenth grade students asked themselves as they began researching and learning about the UN Sustainable Development Goals several months ago. These are the questions that catalyze ASB's annual Sophomore Symposium. After choosing an SDG and issue to focus on, the students work independently or in small groups to investigate the complexities of the issues, as well as possible solutions. At the end of this project, the students present a TED Talk, PSA, or documentary-style video about their findings and their proposed action steps to an expert panelist from the ASB community.
